Dear BISD,
Our third grade class would like to welcome Mr. Murray to our school district. We are very excited to have him visit our campus at CCE. Lauren says that today is his lucky day because it is snowing outside. We rarely ever see snow here in Bastrop. We think he will like it here in Bastrop because it is a great community and we have wonderful schools. We recommend that he visit Chestnut Square because you can bowl, see movies, play games, or even play miniature golf. Jakob says that Mr. Murray could take his children, if he has any to play at the many playgrounds in our community. We hope he has a great time on our campus and in our district. We also hope that he likes all of us and visiting our campuses! We look forward to meeting him!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gardner's Third Grade Students

Hello families! I just wanted to touch base with you all! I cannot believe how quickly this school year continues to pass us by! To bring you all up to date, just last week an interim principal, Dr. Duran began on our campus. She will be with us until the end of the school year. We are delighted to have her!
I wanted to make you aware that we are having a slight problem with homework lately for many. Work with your child to create a structure/schedule to ensure homework is done nightly. I encourage you to allow your child to read to you during part of their nightly reading. Ask them questions as well as their predictions as they read. Also, remember that flash cards should be coming home nightly. It is important that they are LEARNING their facts.
As always, thank you for your participation in your child's education. Feel free to contact me if needed! Have a wonderful evening!
